Here's today's layout. I spent way too mcuh time fussing over a photo and what year this conversation occurred. In the end it really doesn't matter when the conversation occurred...simple that it did and that it is documented!

Day 17 (Oct. LOAD 09)
I love this photo! Can't wait to complete the second half of the page! This was a fun page to do...I love Creative Imaginations stuff! This is their paper and letter stickers with a little computer journaling! It was that simple!
Day 16 (Oct. LOAD 09)
Now it is officially halfway through the month! 16 layouts in 16 days. I have followed some of the plans I made but have wandered off with a few of the daily prompts that Lain has given. It is a great way to get a lot done! This one goes into my 8x8 album titled "me @ 35". Since I'm older than that....I need to finish it before the next milestone arrives!

Day 15 (Oct. LOAD 09)
I knew which collage photo I wanted to use and spotted the paper on the roll top desk yesterday and thought it would be perfect for pj's. What do you think?
Is 15 half way to 31? I'm not sure! Looking forward to creating one about our family tomorrow! I'm using a homemade flashcard....stay tuned!

Today I made a realization. I have a routine, a pattern, a habit...but I didn't realize it until today.
I'm in the knitting shop purchasing a hank of Halloween colored yarn. The owner of the shop has to wind the hank into a ball in order for me to successfully use it without tons of tangles. She set the ball down and it nearly took my breath away....don't laugh! It was the color all wound together neat and tidy. I fell in love. I don't think I can knit it...it's perfect just the way it is.
Now here's the part when I make my realization. Each day on my "lunch" break I stroll through the magazine aisle at the grocery store, stop by the scrapbook store, cruise scrapbook galleries on the internet and today I found myself at the knitting shop. What do all these things have in common? COLOR! I "feast" on color for "lunch"! I love color especially this time of year. Fall offers the very best and richest colors. Color makes me happy and it evidently is a necessity during my day to make it a little bit brighter and happier.
What makes you happy?

I'm so excited! I'm published!
Check it out here! The girls at Ella picked one of my layouts for their October Scrapbook Ellaments ezine!

Scroll down, you'll find it!
This is a layout that I submitted as an after thought to the one I knew I wanted to submit. I pulled it from the archives of one of T's albums. It is a simple favorite because of the photo.

Project 365
I spent nearly an hour last night playing catch up with my 365 project...gathering photos from a number of sources: my phone and camera, C's phone and camera and A's camera. I have missed a few days and will have to be creative and fill in. Life is sometimes too busy to photograph!

The Great Title Debate?!

my Flickr gallery
Here is a link to my flickr gallery. It has some layouts from the LOAW...I didn't do so well in keeping up with this one. It has all of the layouts from the month of February when I paricipated in the LOAD challenge (LayOut A Day). Maybe that's what I need now to get me moving forward and scrappin' everyday again. Enjoy!

You're An All Star!
Finally! I finished decorating T's wall the week before school started. I used an Upper Case Living rub-on, photo shelf (idea from Becky Higgins) and cork strip to hang his medals! He likes it and so does his dad...which is strange because J. rarely likes my decorating ideas. So hurrah!
Now if I could just motivate myself to do another one in the front room, I could order some more!

Why Paper Peddler?
Why Paper Peddler? I love pretty patterned papers! I love to look at them, touch themand even smell them. Is it possible to hear them? I'd even taste them if it were appropriate! I love to create cute and colorful projects of all kinds with paper. I have plenty of paper but I purchase more and more to add to my growing collection. Prehaps I could peddle it on the street?! Someday, when the time is right I will use this name for a product, a product line, a company or a business in the scrapbooking world. It's my hope and dream but until then it's my blog title.
What is in your favorites folder?
Here you go girls some of my favorite websites. I'll give them to you in small doses. Check back soon...I'll give you blogs, then shopping sites, company galleries and then digital sites.

Keepin' it Simple!
Sad news was released several days ago....Simple Scrapbooks will have to cease their publication due to a failing economy and lack of advertisment. It makes the inspiration piece of my brain ache. These ladies have put their heart and sole into this great magazine to inspire others to Keep it Simple! I posted awhile back about "pebbles gathered along the way..." Funny that I wrote that several months ago and couldn't sum up the way I feel about Simple Scrapbooks any differently today. I hope that these women will find employment that enables them to share their passion and in a way that we can see. Keep bloggin' girls...publish special issues whenever possible!!
Long live the Simple philosophy!!

Snippets!
You really must check out this link.
http://www.creatingkeepsakes.com/content/view/8881/
Then choose, Listen to Sample Snippet: "Making Time". Her voice is soothing and friendly...makes me wanna scrap!! I have been listening to Lain's podcasts for over a year and find her informative and entertaining. I love to listen to her essays! I'm hoping that her 50th aniversary podcast will be a celebration of her book, "Snippets".

Makin' a List...
Do you ever make a list of projects to finish or even begin then discover that you've done something that wasn't on the list so you writie it down just so you can cross it off? I do. Here are a couple of my many lists which include sketches and ideas swimming around in my head. I wish I had more time to do the things I WANT to do! i have household lists of things i HAVE to do too! ugh!

These are lists that I have made prior to "crops" so that I can have a plan before I go and help me to gather my supplies for these layouts.

Scrapbooking is everywhere!
I love to read almost as much as I love to scrapbook. So when I learned that there were books that included scrapbooking as a part of the content, I checked them out, literally! I just finished reading Keepsake Crimes by Laura Child...it took me a little while to get into this one but once I had a chunk on time to devote to it I was hooked and read it to the end! I understand that there are several more in the series.
I am currently reading Sisters, Ink by Rebeca Seitz...so far so good. It is a definate switch from what I normally read, which are cozy mysteries. I'll get back to you in the end :)

MM Slice
I received my MM Slice in the mail yesterday! FUN! I played with it a little last night and hope to make time to play so more today. So far I like it...a few more steps than the Cricket but I like the price better and the cost of the disks is cheaper than the cartridges. It is my intention to use it to make nuimbers....there is not a good source for number stickers or chipboard that I have found...Heidi Swapp has some nice chipboard numbers but that's really it. So after my next post...I'm off to cut some more!
